Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
Ain’t easy havin pals.

The Whelen brothers at work. My two favorites. The 35 And the 400.
Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

Nice Mirror work ! Sweet, Congrats Jerry 2hrs apart and less than a mile between! November 26 2016 RBO- That is awesome! It was awesome, but I never shot them, I was just the guide. They were both shot with my rifle though. The same client shot a 42" Bull moose on November 22nd, 3 trophy animals on the same hunt, the whitetail scored just shy of 172. All shot with the 280 Ackley and 140gr TTSX.

Whoever took this picture should be a professional. Truly wonderful work. Both deer are nice but that whitetail is an absolute whopper!
Only a fool would sell an accurate .30-06

gun, man that's a STUD, pistol, rifle, archery, RPG whatever. GRIN I'm very familiar with the Ouachita's. Areas have lots of deer, other areas sparse. However the sparsely populated areas CAN have some Monsters like that ! Congrats. Jerry

I spoke in this thread last year of having a 6.5 Rem twin to my .350 Rem 673. Well over the year I got to shoot and dial it in some, and this fall let it out to play.....125 NPT over H4831SSC....1.75X6 Vari X lll That came from the 'fire via SKane, cradled in Talley's Most Satisfactory!
We eat organic in our house, we just have to shoot and gut it first.....

Nice trio there, CH!
My next 'build' is gonna be to grab a Guide gun in 30/06, send it to JES to be reamed out to 9.3 and drop it in another skelly I have waiting. Make me a little brother to the Alaskan!
Nice rifle and goat for your girl there. Bet it was tasty hanging out in that field!
Thanks - I like them a lot. Rain? Snow? Scratches and dings? Who cares??? The .338WM has a handy 22" barrel provided by Bear Paw Jack/Caribou Jack. It gets 2742fps with a 225g AB and H100V and is delightfully accurate - banging the steel at 600 yards is no big trick and I've hit clay pigeons at that range with it. Bought one of the cdnnsports.com $499 Ruger .30-06's with the 20" barrel as a wedding present for an April-to-be son-in-law. I was worried about the blast factor but it turns out not to be much different than my 22" -06 rifles. (Yup, I shoot them before I give them away. Gotta get them sighted in...) A Guide Gun in 9.3 would be a sweet rifle for serious work - hope it works out well. Ever since they came out I've figured if I was going to AK to hunt it would be a good excuse for a .375 Ruger. Can't really justify one for Colorado.

No, I'm not a Ruger bigot - just an unabashed fan of their revolvers, M77's and #1's.
A good .30-06 is a 99% solution.

Sure would like to put a Pa. Black Bear in front of this one (Ruger M77RSI MKII, 30-06). No luck again this past year.

Played me some Kimber roulette and hit the money with the 84M Classic Select in .257 Roberts from Rylee here: 100 gr NBT & Hunter seems to work rather nicely on those Pennsylvania mountain bucks!
